Simulation Controls

To run the models, the user has to defined a CONTROL_TERMINATION card to specify the termination time as well as DATABASE_BINARY_D3PLOT card to define the d3plot output time interval (dt). For analysis of a typical sled test simulations, recommended dt is 1ms. To save space and for mainly visualization purposes, dt of 5ms can be sufficient.

The FE SET key-files contain predefined control cards. The default mass scaling is set using dt2ms in CONTROL_TIMESTEP, for a time step of 0.5µs (dt2ms*0.9).
